Rogue began as a test—a quick, instinctive moment in the studio while I explored a new colour palette and looser techniques. It was neutral, muted, layered… but at the time, it felt unimportant. I set it aside without a second thought.
Weeks later, I found it again. And this time, I saw it clearly.
It turns out Rogue wasn’t just a study in shape and contrast — it was the beginning of something. That balance of bold marks with soft, neutral tones, the hint of quiet rebellion beneath a calm, contemporary surface. That tiny sweep of rust that blends in, but contrasts at the same time.
It turned out to be a piece that spoke not just to my intuition, but to so many others.
“What would I call it?”, I thought. Then I thought of how it all started, a rogue piece, in between collections. A transition almost. ‘Rogue’ just captured it perfectly.
