I love a question…

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

CAN I COMMISSION YOU?

Absolutely! I’d be honoured. Click here for more information on the step-by-step process for commissioned originals.

Before you read on though, please note that I won’t be painting your Labrador! I’d be very happy to talk to you about projects that are similar to my style of work. I don’t do figurative art or portraiture, nor do I reproduce or copy the original works of other artists.

WHY ABSTRACT ART?

I’ve always had an appreciation for abstract art. The intuitive nature of it is what draws me in - getting lost in the process and the various layers, giving in to your subconscious mind.

It’s meditative, it’s an escape from the ordinary and what’s expected. Letting go of constraints and allowing your subconscious to guide your decision-making is truly empowering, not to mention uplifting.

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN PAINTING?

Since May 2023. I knew I’d found my calling and I haven’t stopped since.

WHAT MATERIALS DO YOU USE?

In terms of medium, I mainly use acrylic paint in various types, from inks to soft-body to heavy body. I use pouring and matte mediums to mix and matte gels to thicken my textured pieces, like ‘Hurricane’ for instance.

When it comes to surface, I use canvas and paper interchangeably. Paper is probably my favourite surface to work on as it captures saturation of colour and layers perfectly, which can sometimes be more difficult on canvas. Paper is much easier to store too.

DO YOU FRAME YOUR ORIGINALS?

Not as standard as I think framing is a deeply personal choice.

All canvas edges are finished in vivid white, so they can be hung as they arrive or framed.

Most of my paper pieces come mounted in a standard A size, meaning you just have to pick your favourite frame and pop the piece in it.

I can, however, arrange for pieces to be framed at an additional cost. Just drop me a message and I’ll give you an idea of cost and timescales.

DO YOU OFFER RETURNS?

I’d be really sad to hear it if you weren’t happy with your piece.

I do accept returns on original artworks as long as they are returned in their original condition and in the original packaging. Collectors are responsible for the cost of shipping if making a return.

I don’t accept returns on fine art prints or commissions as these pieces have been custom-made for you to a particular specification. The only exception to this would be if the artwork was damaged in transit.

Further details can be found in my returns policy.

DO YOU LICENCE YOUR DESIGNS?

This isn’t something I currently do, but do contact me if it’s something you’d be interested in.

WOULD YOU WORK WITH BUSINESSES?

Absolutely. I create my work to inspire and empower others, so I’d love to see my art in your workplace to help you inspire your teams.

I also love interior design, so I’d be very open to discussing using my art in these kind of projects.
