Care Guide

A quick guide on how to unbox & take care of your art so you can keep it looking great for years to come.

Fine Art Prints

Unframed prints are delivered rolled in a cardboard tube.

Make sure you’ve washed your hands (or better yet, wear micro-fibre gloves if you have them) to avoid fingerprints on the borders.

Unrolling tip:

  1. Clear a flat, clean surface, ideally a table or countertop
  2. Pull the print out of the cardboard tube, leaving the paper tissue on
  3. Find one of the shorter edges and slowly hook this end over the edge of the flat surface
  4. Carefully unroll half of the print (with the tissue still covering it) and place a heavy book on it to cover the unrolled section of the print over the tissue.
  5. Unroll the remainder of the print and place another heavy book over the remainder of the print. Ensure the whole surface of the print is covered with heavy books or similar flat heavy objects
  6. Leave for at least 24 hours.
  7. Frame behind a glass or Perspex glaze of your choice and keep out of direct sunlight

Originals

Some originals are large & heavy, so please take care when moving these around and hanging after you’ve received them. If in doubt, get a professional to hang the work for you.

Your artwork will have been very carefully packaged, so please take similar care when unboxing to ensure your artwork doesn’t get damaged in the excitement!

Please take extra care with textured originals - some of the surfaces may be a tad sharp, jagged or rough. Tempting as it is to touch the surface, it’s best to avoid!

Your original has been meticulously varnished to ensure the colours and textures will last a lifetime and to protect against household dust and the odd knock.

Dust occasionally with a micro-fibre cloth

Stationery

To cut down on unnecessary packaging, greeting cards are not individually wrapped. It’s best to keep them nice and safe in your stationery drawer until you’re ready to send them.

Journals are ready to go straight out of the box

Cushions

Your cushion is hand-made using luxurious cotton twill, which is durable as it is stylish.

When it’s time to freshen them up, wash the cover at 30°C and tumble dry on a low heat.

Do not wring.

Hang to finish drying, then iron on a low heat.
